I had a chance to borrow a handheld stabilizer for a GoPro cameras and I was very surprised with the results.
What is SwiftCam G2
Swiftcam is designed to enhance the video quality of your GoPro footage. The handheld gimbal uses brushless motors to stabilize your GoPro with built-in 2-axis gyro. SwiftCam is fully adjustable and you can control tilt angle by pressing buttons on the pole. The handheld is mostly suitable for sports, motorcycling, etc. There is handlebar mount in the optional accessories. With the SwiftCam G2, you can easily record a smooth and stable footage. Gimbal can be mounted on the rc model and it can be powered by any 3s battery.
How does it work
The SwiftCam contains sensors that detects movements of the camera. When the sensor senses the cameras roll or tilt movements, it will predict its next movement and calculate how much movement the brushless motors need to react for leveling it back to keep the camera steady. Actually, SwiftCams processor makes a hundreds of thousands calculations per second.
